Summary
As the registered lottery ‘Operator’ with the Gambling Commission you are required
to ensure that your ‘Operating Policies’ are reviewed and updated regularly and
that these policies are used as guiding principles for how your lottery is run, ensuring
continued compliance.
To make this process easier for you we have provided updated Operating Policy
documents for you to review and implement as part of your day-to-day lottery
operation. It is important to make sure that any officers/staff that are involved in
the operation of the lottery are aware of these policies.

• You will need to update the sections of the Gambling Policy and Anti Money
Laundering Policy highlighted in red (including the footer) adding in your
Council/Society name and other information.
• The final page of each policy document is in red and displays the Gambling
Commissions questions that the policy relates to – no action is required on the
last page.
• Please familiarise yourself with these policies and save them in a place where
all officers/staff that are involved with the lottery operation can access.
• You will need to refer to these documents should the Gambling Commission
request a compliance visit.
