Over the past 3 months (May, June and July 2024) 3 newsletters have been sent out to residents promoting the lottery and super draw prizes. Read on to find out more: 

HOW:

Engaged with Comms Officer to agree slot on general newsletter 

Added the super draw information within the rest of their newsletter (featured near the top of each newsletter)

July's newsletter included both the super draw and also how much had been raised for good causes that year. 

“Eye catching” subject line “Win a £1000 getaway,” “It’s another lottery superdraw!”

Sent out the final week of the super draw, Friday

Coincides with payday, end of the month

Residents of the local area

Anyone who has subscribed to their general newsletter on the Blaby Council website

Went out to 15,738 subscribers 

OUTCOMES:

From April to July tickets have increased by 15%

Facebook post the same day as the newsletter went out

By chance, Zoe had also been part of a ‘Meet the Team’ event at the Council earlier in the week. This was for colleagues to get to know more about what the wider team does. Zoe promoted the lottery at this and so a few sign ups are staff.
